Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT Driver on Dell 1720?

Windows automatic update doesn't always properly install or may interfere with currently installed software. So I suggest you to remove the former Nvidia driver for Windows 7completely, download another driver for XP, and install it manually. The problem should be solved.
