I'm thinking about getting the EVO 3D, is there an option to turn off the 3D effects?

I honestly couldn't care less for the 3D part, I just want a faster version of the EVO 4g, and here it is! So, as I was asking, is there an option to just use the phone without any '3D' interference? I feel like it would just use up battery life unnecessarily, as I have no interest in it whatsoever.
